With less than 4% of the surface built on, Fuerteventura has more space per person of all the Canary Islands. The island boasts the most impressive beaches in Europe. There is nowhere else in the Canaries with as many enormous sand dunes and long sandy beaches (more than one hundred and fifty).
The village of La Oliva is unspoiled with a good selection of local amenities. It has banks, primary school, secondary school, health centre, supermarkets, restaurants, large municipal swimming pool, park and museums.
